Seki Kanetsugu manufactured knives, combining a seven-hundred-year history of making samurai swords and high-tech metalworking techniques. The first mentions of swords made by blacksmith Kanetsugu are dated 1345-1349. The light convex of descents inherited from katana, modern sub-zero cryogenic hardening, combined with impeccable blade geometry and reasonable price, allowed the Kanetsugu craftsmen to win many fans not only in Japan, but throughout the world.
