Japanese knives from ZANMAI FOREST series are similar to MODERN series with just one major difference and that is their original design! Hand polished handles are made from green Micarta, imitating wood circles. This material stands out by its durability and looks, and fits well even in wet hands. All other aspects are similar with MODERN series, and that is why a combination of knives from these two series can be interesting. Like with MODERN line, FOREST line sports Full-tang construction, Japanese AUS8A steel (C-0.8%, Cr-13.5%, Mo-0.25%, V-0.2%), 58±1HRC toughness and convex Hamaguri edge. At the end of the handle there is a ZANMAI logo polished to mirror sheen.
