The whetstone from Taidea Glass is characterized by high metal removal rate and high cleanliness. Its durability is, on average, 4-5 times higher than other sharpening stones of similar thickness.

All this is achieved by the fact that the main part of the abrasive (aluminum oxide) is mixed in this stone with finely ground ceramics and a fine fraction of silicon oxide. As a result, on the working surface of the stone, there are constantly both fresh, still sharp grains that actively remove metal, and already tumbled grains that provide polishing. As a result, the whetstone works and wears more balanced, and works more accurately and efficiently.

Hardened glass was used as a stone substrate, which gives the stone greater strength and resistance to microdamages that occur during frequent contact with water during operation. Glass provides the plane of working surfaces. Prevents distortion when wet.

White corundum, one of the hardest minerals in the world, is attached to a tempered glass base in the Taida Glass series stones. This type of stone wears out much more slowly than traditional water stones, does not need to be soaked in water before use (just sprinkle with water) and most importantly, the stone can be used to the end, because the glass prevents the stone from breaking, even if the abrasive is a few millimeters.
