Mcusta Zanmai Saya are made from magnolia wood harvested from Honoki trees in Japan, the same material used for centuries to protect Japanese Katana swords. The magnolia wood sheath is moisture resistant and soft, which won't scratch the elegant blades.  For safety purposes, a pin is used to hold the blade and sheath in place. *There is a possibility that the saya sheath will not fit your knife. Because the actual thickness and size of a knife can vary, even if their stated blade size looks the same in the spec.
